Trader Joe's Open for Business!
Its offical! Trader Joe's has moved in and opened its doors. The ribbon cuttting had customers lined up around the building waiting to step foot (and to shop!) in Providence's newest grocery store. In the heart of Providence it is an oh-so very walk-able, bikeable and drivable location (with designated parking to boot!). The other 2 mixed use buildings that make up Parcel 6 are next in line to be completed and occupied in the near future.
Parcel 6 Has Broken Ground!
The next step of the Parcel 6 development has been taken! The site has been blocked off to start site work. (Construction banners to come!- does any one recognize the portraits murals?) This will house 2 apartment complexes with commerical/retail spaces at ground level, 2 level parking and an urban market place within the city.

Urban Greens and The Upton Residences was awarded the 2020 Honors Award by the AIA-Western Massachuseets chapter. Once Loutit Laundry, the development team wanted to create spaces that benifited the neighborhood. They invisioned a local market and adjacent 'workforce housiNg' apartment complex. Their vision came to life, infilling the neigborhood with, not one but two sustainablly responsible buildings.
