Truth Box has been involved with the evolution of The Steel Yard from the start. Located on the site of the former Providence Steel Co., The Steel Yard is one of Providence's most impressive and active art centers. We worked with owner Milhaus, LLC to develop 1 Sims Avenue. This 17,000 sf mill building on the site is a thriving multi-use facility, including artist studios and small businesses. What might be most impressive, however, is the 80 KwH rooftop solar array! You can’t see it from the site, but trust us – it’s BIG. (1 Sims and the Steel yard is a National Historic Register site.) Completed 2007.
